On the eve of World War I, Arthur G. Koehlinger founded a lock and bike shop at 414 East Washington Boulevard in bustling downtown Fort Wayne. He dedicated his work to satisfying his customers and supplying the best products money could buy. He prided himself in serving them well. He created a business tradition that his sons and grandsons have continued today.
As Arthur’s businesses grew, Winston, his eldest son, ran the bicycle business that evolved into Koehlinger Cycling & Fitness. Stamford, Arthur’s second son, managed the lock and safe business at 413 East Washington, just a few steps away from his father’s original location. Stamford’s son, Kim, now operates the business.
For over 100 years, Arthur, Stamford and Kim Koehlinger and their highly trained staffs have been providing a wide range of security products and services, ranging from the simple key for the back door to complex electronic access systems for enterprise-wide control.
